For Ascension Parish residents: St. Amant and Sorrento areas are in danger from rising water but nothing has happened yet. Officials are taking precautions but there currently is no imminent danger. They have opened a shelter at Lamar Dixon and have called for a voluntary evacuation for St. Amant, Sorrento and anyone in Ascension who may be concerned.
